Keyboard
There is an on-screen keyboard that allows text entry with the knob. This part of the HMI was mostly written in August 2021.
The keyboard is drawn in the modal menu layer of the PaneManager and is managed by the modal menu service.

This shows an early view of the text buffer viewer in blue, with the pink area set aside for the keyboard composable.
The text-viewer is a Row of views: either a letter in a Box, or a Box with a Cursor drawn.
