Pico

The Raspberry Pi Pico is a low-power MCU used to:

  • select the video source sent to the screen,
  • turn the main Raspberry Pi on and off with ignition key cycles
  • relay IBus serial messages to the Pi
  • provide a way to reboot the Pi while driving

Telephone Long Press Observer

When the Pi Firmware is compiled with video support, the trapdoor menu opens.

Linster OS Menu on BMBT

When the Pi Firmware is compiled without video support, telephone short-presses cycle through the video sources, and a long-press reboots the RPi by hard-power-cycling the Meanwell powersupply.
