Hardware

I designed a custom-board e39-rpi-mainboard that incorporates a series of building blocks that I all tested separately.

The board integrates a:

  • MAX4314 video switch
  • Power Supply
  • LIN Transceiver and is a HAT for the RPI that also holds the Pi Pico.

Mainboard

The mainboard allows the e39-Rpi to be mounted inside the factory case for the Mk4 navigation.

I made 1:1 scale paper printouts of the PCB to make sure I got the hole alignment right.
